Listing for:
Victor E from the pre-dog period

This Victor E was built for the middle-class market during the early years of the talking machine era.

The oak cabinet has a subtle, classical elegance... note the corner columns and choice of tiger grain.

Just as it left the Camden, New Jersey factory: complete with the early Concert reproducer.

These early models have special record hold-down nuts.

The motor looks good.

This is the original license tag on the underside of the cabinet... it specifies the sales price as $25.00. I'll take it!

The earliest Victors had this neat identification plate.

The horn (original) has the 'patent applied for' stamp... but, of course, no dog decal.

Another view from the front.

For a brief period of time in the 1902 era, the Victor Talking Machine Company shipped its revolutionary new line of phonographs with powerful spring motors and advanced sound reproduction technology. This phonograph represents that very early era, when disc records were just 7 inches in diameter and the company had not yet adopted its famous 'dog and gramophone' logo.
